Trek Releases New Wavecel MTB Helmets

WATERLOO, WI – Today, Trek launched three new mountain bike helmets with improved WaveCel safety technology. The lineup offers something for every off-road rider — from entry-level rippers getting into the sport to advanced enduro racers looking for added coverage on the gnarliest trails. 

Each new helmet features lighter and cooler WaveCel technology, with optimized cell walls that help save 15 grams and allow for a 10% larger cell to allow more airflow. WaveCel is a collapsible cellular structure that lines the inside of a helmet and is designed to be more effective than traditional foam helmets in protecting your head from injuries caused by certain cycling accidents. The Trek and Bontrager exclusive helmet tech received a 5-star safety rating from Virginia Tech.

The all-new Rally WaveCel MTB helmet is designed to handle more technical terrain, with deeper coverage than the previous generation and improved WaveCel technology. A BOA® fit system, FidLock buckle, Blendr accessory mounts, and three-position visor with built-in sunglasses storage provide all the features riders need for the best experience out on the trails.  

Blaze WaveCel – $249.99 

The all-new Blaze WaveCel MTB helmet is built for intermediate to advanced mountain bikers and enduro riders looking for best-in-class protection and even more coverage. It features removable ear guards, improved WaveCel technology, a BOA® fit system, a goggle-optimized three-position magnetic breakaway visor, Blendr accessory mounts, and more.
