Probably the scariest part to weld on. Scary enough that Frank offered to do this part for me but it turned out fine Sram/ Shimano drivetrain mix is really good. I used parts i could find and the shimano chain and cassette combo provides superb shifting combined with a GX /SX shifting set

I designed and built this bike during an internship with Frank The Welder. Coolest summer of my life and I cannot thank Frank and the team enough for their support.

Steely Dan is made of Paragon Machine Works bike specific bits and McMaster "easy to weld 4130" steel.

extra low seat height and the stack is pretty tall. Comfortable to ride on all types of trails and it looks like an overgrown dirt jumper which i love. I painted it with a clear coat to preserve all the details. This is the first complete bike that I have welded and i want to keep track of my progress and i do not want to cover the welds.

I keep forgetting to weigh this bike but the weight is similar to an alloy full suspension bike of its caliber.
