RESULTS: Val di Sole UCI MTB DH Junior Finals

The dreaded rain threatened throughout the two junior races but ultimately held off. The track was dry in places with lots of humidity in some of the gnarlier sections keeping the riders honest as they rolled the dice, trying to tame the Black Snake. Eliana Hulsebosch backed up her fantastic qualifying performance with a similarly dominant display in the junior women's finals, taking a commanding victory over Sacha Earnest and Erice van Leuven. Sweden's Ella Svegby was in touch at the splits, but a big mistake resulted in a crash which ultimately saw her slide down to 4th place. In the junior men's category, Asa had a huge moment at the start of his bid, somehow holding on to a Moto GP-style high-sider but loosing valuable time right out the gate. Asa rode strong towards the bottom, but it was not enough to hold off Max Alran who put together a clean and fast run to claim his second consecutive World Cup win.
