Trying to pull off a mtb race on public land is a multi year nightmare ask me how I know. Not to mention the logistics for EMS and uplift for a down hill race.

they should move this to Crane Mountain, get away from the park-iness and into some raw downhill

Personal opinion, but Crane Mountain's probably unwilling to support the racing.

Reason why so many parks get visited on so many grassroots downhill/enduro race series stops is because the infrastructure is already there, and the series doesn't have the pull to convince the venues to really go out of their way to build something new.
