also, why are we still having to strap levers to bars to get a good purge and solid feel..... I've done it with shimano brakes for ages as it makes them feel even better, downside is you've gotten do it often to keep them feeling good.
I know you're joking, but nevertheless to me it looks like "mineral oil" is written on that bottle
Thats the new „Shredda Front“ Ebike Tire (with radial casing),launched with the Albert, it has absurdly tall knobs, even higher than the Dirty Dan. There is also the rear version, which has the exact same profile as the albert, only a bit taller and spaced a little bit further apart.
I have the rear one on my dh bike up front currently to test on the weekend, as the albert is nowhere available here atm.

So this let me run my HSC a few clicks stiffer. Then in return my bike handled big compressions better. I used to sacrifice large high speed hits because I was looking for comfort in other areas of the trail that have more chatter.

And without some of the issues found on a coil fork. I have a z1 coil with a grip 2 in it and its great on stuff like that but i do find it sometimes easy to blow through the travel a bit more than i would like

I like shimano brakes a lot more than sram (I’ve yet to try the mavens tho) but you have to admit dot is objectively better than mineral oil.
Something on AP upper fork. Could be another version of a mass damper?
I also noticed his rocker link has a flip chip at the top shock mount. He’s back on the steel chainstay as well, which is switched from all the photos early this week. Lots going on with this machine!

There is only one AP and that is Aaron Plessinger. 🤣 When you rock a cowboy hat and mullet like that dude does, you get to own the nickname across all two wheeled sports.

Plessinger isn't on Pierron's level though, so no. Once you're a threat to win any race/championship you enter THEN you can talk about official nicknames and permanent racing numbers ect.
Moto AP is awesome, but he's not on RC, or RV, or TP's level yet.
I recently bought 2 used RockShox Kage R coil shocks and one of them had a wierd/different name engraved. Could this be some kind of special shimmed shock? Has someone seen this?
About enve wheels, I’ve seen the dark 9 carbon ones and they’re low profile, for sure not single wall, look ready to be out in the wild, I’ve been told that they’re figuring out the finish with the new molds that seems not perfect but that’s just a visual thing.
And from the other site something interesting, alloy rims from Enve, I didn’t knew it would’ve been a think like ever

From the looks of it, it pretty much looks like a flow EX3 rim. I might be wrong but it wouldn't be surprising that they would run other brand's rim for testing/performance purposes (didn't they ran crankbrother wheels before they came up with enve's prototype ?)
dak in action. let's take in all the bike-calming parts on this bike. pic by Jack Rice
sprung mass dealie, e13 sidekick hub and STFU. and that's just what we can see. considering 2nd thru 11th place were separated by just 2 seconds in qualifying yesterday, i'd be all about zen'ing the crap out of my bike too! his hair has to damp the movement of his head too, so double win.

Who’s gonna be the hero to make a mass damper with only parts from Home Depot?
I’m thinking PVC pipe and caps, springs from the random hardware section and maybe a stack of nuts on a piece of all thread for the weight. Bushings smaller pvc pipe?
Edit- springs could be bungee cords too. That would be ideal. Nice and progressive
It's Wheeltop EDS OX (Electronic Derailleur System)
https://www.wheeltop.com/
They have not updated their website with a product page yet, and the software for it is in...
Bumping this old post as it seems the Wheeltop MTB drive train is getting more refined and looks to have a dedicated MTB option. Noticed when the Zuckerberg algorithm decided to feed me this today.
I personally don’t care for or want electronic shifting, but I’m always excited to see competition in the drivetrain space

Dirty Dan II?
Could be a „Shredda Front“?

Yep that's it my bad 👍
ReTROYspextive sure makes it sound like a new Troy is coming. Troy and/or cable transmission drop coming soon?
Try to add some more oil to your spring side
Some CNC hotness on Cam’s bike

I knew id get downvoted by Shimano users, happens everytime... cant even joke about their products.
Of course it's mineral but Far out come on boys/girls haha.
No, your comment has been said a million times before and you were clearly just trying to stir.
Opinions are like assholes. Neither one belongs in tech rumors.
Looks like a cable tie was there

It’s alright that’s not a skinsuit because he has turnups 😂

I want to know more about those single wall ENVE rims!
They might not be single wall, just slim, but they sure look like it.
Same here. I think they are the same ones frameworks is running. Says on enves site dark 9s

You joke but they will eventually have a sensor on the rear axle to control the flight attendant

Its kinda old/long ago but still interesting.

Loris also on the shake weight bandwagon.

Somewhere, the engineer who came up with the Bontrager Bzzzkill dampers is gloating.
