Hello my name is Michael
I'm a addict who's in recovery. I recently was released from prison for charges in relation with drug use. After the prison paying for my bus ticket to get me to the town that im going to soberliving at. They released me 15 dollars. 15 dollars for a Kickstart for life. Me and alot of other individuals who are in sobriety don't have the advantage of family support. We receive what little support the community has and are extremely thankful for it! But to start a good healthy type of life that we all stride towards, Its been a huge struggle but im happy to tell you im two months out and still running a good program. Safe and sober. I'm currently with all my treatment needs and life is getting easier one day at a time. Unfortunately Two days a go i was grocery shopping at Walmart and came out to see someone cut my bicycle lock and stole my bicycle. I spent the last two days calling nonprofits, churches and thrift stores. With zero luck. I stumbled across this site when looking for some sort of government grant or program that donates bicycles for people in need. Theres zero programs that do such here in montana there are multiple states that do but have guidelines where u must be a resident or pick up the bike in person. Really no option for us in montana. I bicycle is extremely useful because most of us removing addicts dont ave driver licenses. Or money for a car. It makes getting around to the store, treatment, self help and work so much easier. Ive spoke with everyone who lives with me at the Ignatius House Soberliving and we all agree that we need some kinda help with transportation. We stay plenty busy keeping up with everything asked of us. Walking to where we have to be totally wastes what little bit of extra time and energy we have. Help us succeed with sobriety and make life a little easier with a donation so we can buy bicycles to move around our day efficiently. Everyday is a struggle but we stay focused and ask god for guidance to help us live a good, healthy and sober life for us and our families. The other residents and i appreciate your kindness and help! God bless! Donate at https://gofund.me/c8481cd9
