The end of June continued the NW Cup road trip in Whitefish, MT for the second of our back-to-back race weekends. Normally a dry and dusty venue, Mother Nature decided to gift us some rain mid week to make the dirt AMAZING for practice and seeding through Saturday. Sunday brought the Cat 3s a foggy and wet race morning, with it drying out a bit for the Cat 2 and Cat 1-Pro races. As always Whitefish delivered with amazingly fast and technical trails, and the weather made the roots slick and interesting for all categories! Have to love how the racing at NW Cup is always fun and eventful!
As always the juniors are knocking on the doors of the pros, but this weekend Tobin Walker showed the kids who is boss with fastest time on the mountain and his first Pro win! Julia Lofqvist Traum continued her ways showing the fast women where it's at!!!
Now we have a short break until August where we will see you all again at Silver Mtn. in Kellogg Idaho!
Fun little story on the day is some father/son competition between NW Cup regulars Daniel Klein and his son Elliott. One of the closer races of the weekend with Dad beating son by thousandths, with a tie on the scoresheet to the hundredth! Dad better watch out!
Matt Orlando slaying it with the Vital RAW again!:
We can't wait to see you in Silver Mtn!
