June brings us to the first race of the NW Cup back-to-back races out in Idaho and Montana. This past weekend the amazing resort of Tamarack host the NW Cup family with gorgeous blue skies, warm weather, and fast, rocky trails. With the entire park to ourselves, the weekend ran nice and smoothly. The Tamarack Parks crew also did a bunch of work on the trails, opening up some lines and making sure that we were dialed for some fast racing!
A big shout-out to the Idaho and Utah crews coming out in force with team Racekraft and Kore North being everywhere on the hill!
The NW Cup has become synonymous with fast up-and-coming juniors. The likes of Jackson Goldstone, Mark Wallace, Asa Vermette, Stevie Smith and more cutting their teeth the series and always challenging Pro times. This race was no exception with the Mallen Brothers and Kelly Swarens coming on strong in the Junior categories. At the end of the day, Julia Lofqvist Traum and Jack Pederson took the pro wins working hard to hold the youngsters at bay.
Next weekend (June 28-30th) we will be up the road in Whitefish, MT and can't wait to race with you all again!
Shimano has been a long time supporter of the NW Cup, and we really can't be more honored to have them as one of our strongest supporters. Whether Aaron has fixed your bike at a race to keep you moving, or just coming through the amazing finish line they have supported us with, they are an amazing supporter of all of the NW Cup and we couldn't be happier for their support!
